My training methods are backed by science and derived from learning theory. The best learning occurs when the learner feels safe and is not threatened by the potential of a punishment being applied if they get it wrong. That's a long way to say: I use positive reinforcement training methods.

In-person training sessions are held in the comfort of your own home. Depending on your dog's particular struggles, I may recommend virtual training to start.

During a day training session, I teach your dog new behaviors one-on-one and strengthen the cues they already know. Day Training is perfect for dogs with leash reactivity, as well as for teaching things like recall, leash walking skills, confidence building, muzzle training, and even cooperative handling.

For most reactive dogs I work with, a Day Training session starts by practicing handler engagement, then we will typically go on a training walk where I teach your dog alternative behaviors to the lunging, barking, and snapping that they usually do.

Wonderful for barky and lungy dogs as well as fearful and nervous dogs, Day Training is the solution when you want change to come quickly - our dogs often learn at a faster pace when a professional is teaching them! Each Day Training session is 30-45 minutes long.

In additional to Day Training sessions, we will schedule periodic training sessions where we all meet together (you, me, and your pup). In these sessions, I will teach you how to work with your dog so you can get the same behavior from your dog that I do when I work with them.
